Polly!

Polly! (ebook)Polly! (paperback)Polly, though of indeterminate age, was born on May 15, 2004. I awoke that morning from a vision. (Okay, I guess technically a vision while you're sleeping is a dream. Call it what you want. I call it a vision.)

There was this magnificent mansion in the desert. There was a snowman out in the hot sun. There was a wonderful party going on, with all sorts of friendly people. There was a gymnasium and a library, and there was an aura about it telling me this was not reality--this went beyond reality. More sharp-edged and clearly defined than any reality I've ever seen.

And above all, there was Polly. Funny and serious, whimsical and wise, seeing all and understanding more, detached yet infinitely caring, achingly beautiful but totally unpretentious, child-like and sexy. She didn't have to tell me her name, because I knew it instantly. She was Polly, and nothing else could suit her.

I fell instantly in love with her. (I tend to do that around beautiful women; just ask anyone.) She was the one who insisted I put aside everything else I was working on and write her story instead. You don't argue with Polly--at least, not if you know what's good for you. And, as you'll learn when you read the story, you can't say no to her.

GREAT NEWS! Polly! has been awarded the prestigious  AIA Medal of Approval.

All hands on Decalogue!  A protagonist readers will find it easy to identify and empathize with, a classic journey story told with wit, wisdom and deceptive ease, and the most interesting guest star ever--what's not to like, here? Perhaps writers who attempt a book like POLLY! wanna crack or two across the face for their audacity (to parrot conventional wisdom)--but not if they can manage to pull it off this entertainingly.

Read some of Polly's wit and wisdom.

I have a new creed regarding Polly. BUT BEWARE OF SPOILERS!
